The second National Skill Olympiad on Seafood Value Addition, an initiative of the Marine Products Export Development Authority, was held as part of Seafood Expo Bharat 2026 in Kochi, bringing together ten finalists from across India. P. Surya Bhaskar of Devi Fisheries Limited in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada emerged as the overall winner, demonstrating the highest level of technical precision and culinary skill in preparing value-added seafood products. Muthu Kumaran of Theva and Co in Tamil Nadu's Tuticorin claimed second place, while Sagarika Sardar from West Bengal and Barabari Jena from Odisha were placed third and fourth respectively.
